Council confirms three reappointments and promotes an alternate to the Historic Preservation Commission

The Missoula City Council approved two committee-reported appointments to the Historic Preservation Commission at its Dec. 1 meeting.
A council member moved to reappoint Paul Felicetti, Kathy Berkenhauser and Crystal Herzog to regular terms beginning Jan. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2028. Following brief remarks acknowledging a constituent’s objection, the clerk conducted a roll call; the motion passed with nine votes in favor and one opposed.
Separately, Councilor Nugent moved to promote Eden Streckle from alternate to regular member of the Historic Preservation Commission for the same term dates. The council recorded 9 yes and 1 no and the promotion carried.
Councilors noted the items originated in the land use and planning committee; there was no public comment on those specific agenda items during the meeting. The appointments will be reflected in commission rosters beginning Jan. 1, 2026.
