Walton County commissioners approved two land-use items during the meeting: the second reading and approval of the Tucker Bayou conceptual planned-unit development overlay ordinance (project MAJ25-000046) and adoption of an ordinance updating the county's land-development code to conform with recent state statutory changes.

"This is the second reading of the Tucker Bayou conceptual planned-unit development," said Speaker 6, introducing the item and asking Rosanna Edwards to review the application. A motion to approve was made and seconded; no public comment was recorded and the motion passed by voice vote.

Later the board considered a separate ordinance to update the land-development code. Speaker 8 explained the change was to ensure conformity with this year's statutory amendments and moved to hold second reading and adopt the ordinance. The motion passed by voice vote.

The Tucker Bayou approval advances project MAJ25-000046 under conditional PUD overlay standards; details of conditions, mitigation, or implementation were part of the staff report and application review noted in the meeting. The county clerk's official minutes and the published ordinances will contain the formal text, any conditions of approval and the effective dates for both actions.
