Middletown board adopts new credit-card policy, deletes older policy 5321

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. — The Middletown City School District Board adopted a revised district credit-card policy on July 31, voting to delete Policy 5321 and substitute Policy 8334 after the board’s policy committee presented the change.
Policy committee chair Mr. Rapp told the board the change follows a review by NISPA and the policy committee and recommended deleting the older policy number. "The delete is the policy 5321, use of district credit card, and we're replacing it with policy 8334, use of the credit card," he said. The board voted to waive the second reading and then to adopt the policy; the clerk recorded the motion as passing.
Board members noted the district is moving from Erie 1 BOCES to the New York State School Boards Association for policy services and said they expect a steady stream of similar housekeeping updates as policies are reviewed and recommended.
