The Cache County Council moved to schedule public hearings for Dec. 2 at 5:30 p.m. on three items: ordinance 2025-41 (county treasurer compensation correction), resolution 2025-43 (adoption of the 2026 Cache County budget) and resolution 2025-44 (a 2025 budget opening amendment).
Separately, staff explained that after the council voted to remove two parcels from the Jensen agricultural protection zone in September, the county recorder advised that the formal removal should be documented by resolution to match the original action. Councilors moved to suspend the rules and approve resolution 2025-42 removing the specified parcels; the motion passed after the suspension and vote.
A council member noted that some pending ordinances (2025-35 and 2025-36) would remain on the calendar for Dec. 2. The council then recessed for 10 minutes before the Truth in Taxation meeting.
