Council approves rezoning to allow Pruitt Health offices and nursing use at Ashford-Dunwoody site

The Brookhaven City Council approved a rezoning Nov. 18 to allow Perimeter Healthcare Properties, affiliated with Pruitt Health, to convert the office building at 4151 Ashford Dunwoody Road for corporate headquarters and a skilled-nursing use.
Staff presented the application (LUP25-02 and LUP25-05) and said the planning commission recommended conditional approval but had asked the council to delete a condition requiring the owner to install public art prior to issuance of a certificate of occupancy. Attorney Jeff Haymore spoke for the applicant and described interior renovations and modest exterior improvements; he said the rooftop terrace/rooftop gathering space would not exceed the existing dome height and that the site is not on a primary pedestrian corridor.
One resident who spoke in the public-comment period said additional nursing-home capacity near Brookhaven would be welcome, and another asked whether any public funds would be used; the applicant said there were no public funds involved.
A council member moved to approve Ordinance ID 7435 with the planning-commission conditions and then amended the motion to delete condition 2C (the public-art requirement). The amendment was seconded and the council approved the rezoning with that deletion.
The ordinance passed as amended; the council recorded the approval on the public record and congratulated the applicant.
