The Commerce City Planning Commission voted 5‑0 to recommend that City Council approve a comprehensive‑plan (land use plan) amendment for a 23.76‑acre site at the northwest corner of East 120th Avenue and Chambers Road that would allow annexation into Commerce City and designate the southern parcel for commercial uses and the northern parcel for agricultural/open space.

Planner Nathan Chavez presented staff’s analysis and recommendation to the commission, saying the application — filed by Pierpont Realty Group on behalf of Adams Crossing LLC as case LUP25‑0001 — seeks amendments to four maps in the city’s 2045 comprehensive plan to expand the urban growth boundary and place the southern parcel in the Northern Range commercial designation.
