Neil said pupil services and contracted positions were driving higher than expected costs in some lines and proposed budget transfers to reallocate funds from special education tuition and special‑ed transportation to cover salaries, benefits and contracted staff. He said some salaries are being covered by contracted service providers while positions remain open.
Speaker 8 moved to accept the proposed transfers. The board approved the motion by voice vote. Separately, the board accepted a gift donation for South Meadow School from Judy Hetzler and Tim Conway (noting Renew Church in Hancock as the source on the documentation).
