The commission denied a separate request by counsel Giovanni Recupera to remove a handicap sign at 70–74 Highland Street after staff confirmed the applicant still resides at that address and parking enforcement verified the sign's presence.
Separately, at the fire chief's request the commission approved removing one metered parking space in front of 45 Washington Ave. because a newly designed hydrant reduced the legal parking length; staff said the city may recover that space when future Broadway/City Hall redesign work is complete.
