Student representative Kevin Rand used the Nov. 19 meeting to highlight school activities across academics, clubs and athletics.
Kevin described NHS activities that provide safe trick-or-treating for students with special needs and noted service projects such as a charity event that helped make and distribute pierogies. He said FBLA is piloting student-run companies built around low-cost ideas, and Key Club members attended a statewide fall rally.
On athletics, Kevin reported the boys soccer team reached sectional finals with a 10-6-1 record, girls soccer finished 11-7-4, and football ended 2-8. He said a teammate, Aidan Curtis, stands out in cross country.
Kevin previewed the theater production 'Peter and the Starcatcher' and described a short Halloween film the school's Bluejay broadcast team produced, noting students "used AI as a tool to help them." He also relayed activities from Woodland Elementary, including Project Woodland and a poetry cafe for families.
Kevin’s report focused on student engagement and upcoming events; no formal board action followed the report.
