Greene County commissioners on Nov. 6 approved a series of measures that included a $50,000 transfer to provide emergency grants to two area food pantries and the release of aeronautical-use obligations on about 4.044 acres at the Greene County Lewis A. Jackson Regional Airport to allow Beavercreek Township to build a fire station.
County staff described the $50,000 as a Board of Commissioners allocation to be split into two $25,000 grants for the Fairborn Fish Pantry and the Greene County Fish Pantry to help residents affected by a recent federal government shutdown and related furloughs.
