The committee re‑voted to approve the custodial contract (Council 94) after administration identified mathematical errors in an appendix; officials said the corrections did not change the contract’s bottom line. Revisions to Policy 6200 (student assessment) and Policy 6160 (prevention and crisis intervention) were approved after administration said both policies were dated and needed updates to reflect current assessments and legal requirements.
The committee also established two official school colors (described by administration as “Middletown blue” and “Islander blue,” with royal blue and white accents) to guide building interior design and branding, and approved declaring obsolete technology items surplus; administration said proceeds from surplus disposals are returned to the town to support the capital improvement plan.
