Board hears first reading of district code-of-conduct policy; item to return for approval
Summary
Executive Director Satterfield presented Policy 4-201 (Code of Conduct) as a first read after it was inadvertently omitted from a prior review; board members asked clarifying questions and staff said the policy will return for approval at a future meeting.
Executive Director Satterfield presented Policy 4-201, the district’s code of conduct, as a first reading at the Litchfield Elementary School District Governing Board meeting on Dec. 9, 2025, noting the policy had been shared previously but was inadvertently omitted from the most recent policy review.
Satterfield said the policy “delineates our expectations and prohibitions for our employees so that there’s clear understanding of the expectations for conduct in Litchfield Elementary School District.” Board members asked clarifying procedural questions about where the item had been in prior materials and were told the omission was an administrative error; the policy will be brought back to the board for consideration and approval at a future meeting.
No formal action was taken on Policy 4-201 tonight; board members expressed appreciation for the opportunity to review the policy and asked staff to return the item with the corrected review history.
The board will consider the policy again at a subsequent meeting, at which time members may move for adoption.
