County public-health staff presented two applications for the board of health: Jessica Newsome for the registered-nurse seat and Dr. Matthew S. Edwards as a public member (noting that the optometrist discipline slot may be filled from out of county under state law). The board moved and approved both appointments.
Staff also recommended reappointments for Christy Berry; Dr. Nicole Howell; Dr. Jordan White; Ruth Moody; and Ben Moses to serve additional three-year terms beginning Jan. 1. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved those reappointments by voice vote.
No public objections were raised during the presentation, and staff said the appointees' terms will be effective Jan. 1 of the next year.
