The Plan Commission voted Dec. 2 to adopt staff findings recommending approval of a specific implementation plan amendment for the Mill On Main development on South Main Street. The amendment adds one residential unit inside an existing clubhouse unit, described by staff as a flexible residential suite that could serve as a manager's residence, conventional rental unit or short-term corporate housing.
Staff explained that the approved SIP (originally approved in 2022) had allowed reduced parking, and subsequent changes to parking requirements in 2023 altered the math. Under the current code, total parking required for the site is 445 spaces and the project provides 467, so staff concluded the project meets current parking requirements. The amendment does not propose other design changes to the clubhouse. The commission adopted the findings and recommendations by roll-call vote (9-0).
