Moorestown board approves routine business: insurance membership, policies, finance and personnel items

The Moorestown Township Board of Education approved multiple consent and business items during its November meeting, including the superintendent’s recommendation to submit the SSDS report, several finance and business items, policies on second reading, renewal of membership in the Burlington County Insurance Pool (joint insurance fund) and employee relations items.

During the meeting the board president asked for motions on the consent items. The SSDS submission (Article 10, Exhibit 26-96) was moved and approved as part of the superintendent’s recommendations. Policies listed on second reading were moved, seconded and approved. Finance and business items 1–9 were presented and approved, with the agenda also acknowledging donations from Moore Arts and Home and School.

The board then took a roll-call vote to renew membership in the Burlington County Insurance Pool joint insurance fund. The roll call recorded the following responses as 'Yes': Miss Arcara Burns; Missus Barnes; Missus Fowles Macaluso; Doctor Myatt; Missus Miller; Mister Weeks; Mister Villanueva (as recorded in the meeting roll-call sequence). The motion carried.

Employee-relations items 1–6 were approved with an amendment to item 4 (columns B2 and B6) as discussed in executive session; the board conducted a roll-call vote with members recorded as voting 'Yes' in the transcript. The board also approved suspensions and HIB incidents as noted in Exhibit 26-110 and previously discussed in the October executive session.

What’s next: Specific contract awards, policy-adoption paperwork and personnel paperwork will be reflected in the official minutes and posted agenda exhibits; the district will continue standard posting of board action and follow up on any implementation tasks described in board materials.
