Milford approves lot-line adjustment and zone boundary relocation at 5 Dixon Street

Applicants Ronald and Felicia Schmidt told the board they agreed verbally with the neighbor at 9 Dixon Street to purchase about 260 square feet to move the lot line so all of 5 Dixon is in the R-5 zone. Staff summarized that the proposed change would make 5 Dixon more compliant with parcel-size requirements and that 9 Dixon would remain compliant in its R-7.5 zoning. A one-page letter from the borough of Woodmont was provided and placed in the record stating no issues with the application.
After closing the public hearing by assent, a board member moved to approve the petition as presented, specifying an effective date in the motion (12/26/2025). The motion was seconded and the board voted in favor on roll call.
Practical effect: The lot-line adjustment relocates the zoning line so the entirety of 5 Dixon will be R-5 and resolves the immediate parcel-size nonconformity; staff and applicants recorded the neighborhood support letter in the record.
