The Village of Sugar Grove board unanimously approved a set of routine but consequential resolutions at its Dec. 2 meeting, authorizing engineering services, renewing mutual-aid membership, awarding a custodial contract and updating bank signatories.

The board voted to award Phase 3 engineering agreements with HR Green for two road-resurfacing projects. Brad Merkel told the board the Wheeler Road phase would move forward to the April 2026 letting and that the Dugan Road limits run from just south of Dugan Woods to north of Wheeler Road, excluding the roundabout. Trustees moved and seconded the measures and a roll-call vote approved both PSA agreements.

The board also approved a resolution renewing participation in the Illinois Public Works Mutual Aid Network, which the presenter said the village joined in 2017 and that renewed membership carries a modest $100 annual administrative fee to maintain emergency mutual-aid dispatching.

On procurement, trustees approved a contract with Ultra Cleaning Services after staff said the firm’s bid represents a cost roughly one-third of the prior contract while providing equal or greater scope of custodial work. The board also approved a resolution updating the village’s bank signatory list to reflect the new finance director, a change the presenter said banks requested.
