On land-use matters, the board completed second readings and adopted ordinances tied to an ML Realty Partners redevelopment at 111 and 133 South Raleigh Road, approving a special use for building height, variations for setbacks, and a plat of consolidation with easement vacation. The board also adopted an ordinance abolishing the Cultural Arts Development Commission and adopted a separate ordinance described in the agenda as abolishing a special ordinance (item 8d as listed at the meeting).
The board voted to adopt a resolution approving a one-year extension and addendum to the village—s traffic law enforcement systems agreement with Red Speed Illinois LLC, which operates cameras at the Lake and JFK intersections. The presenter described a monthly charge of $1,499 per active camera and a $5.99 violation fee; the village receives the remaining proceeds after violations are processed.
