The Jackson County Board of Supervisors approved a slate of routine administrative items during its Dec. 2 meeting, including authorizing payment warrants, adopting the 2026 county holiday schedule and accepting routine reports.
Auditor Lisa Smith asked the board to authorize issuance of warrants and publish the claims listing totaling $211,757.28; the board approved the request and discussed a roughly $50,000 payment to the fairgrounds and software/server purchases included in the claims. Smith also requested reissuance of a handwritten warrant to John Wogan for $8.80 (replacement of a canceled 01/11/2024 check); the board approved reissuing the warrant after brief discussion about ACH uptake and policy limits.
The board accepted and placed on file the county recorder’s report showing $36,305.23 collected in November 2025, and approved Resolution No. 1154-12-02-2025 setting the 2026 holiday schedule for county employees. The board also unanimously accepted the resignation of Deputy King Kopp effective Dec. 6, 2025 and approved signing a revised EIWA CEO shared liability agreement and naming Dan Sinekett as its chair for that agreement. The meeting concluded with adjournment by voice vote.
