Board approves change orders, reimbursements, field trips and food-service bills at Cornwall-Lebanon meeting

Board member Mr. Snyder moved to approve two construction change orders covering the Earl Baltz Stadium facility improvement (GCCO No. 3, NCI Construction) and the Cedar Crest High School renovation (GCCO No. 5, Lobar Incorporated). Both motions were seconded and approved by voice vote, recorded as 8–0.
The board approved reimbursements totaling $18,089.50 as moved by Joel W. Zug, and also authorized Sunday and seasonal facility use requests including Cedar Crest cheerleading and the Falcon Youth Football Association. The board approved overnight field trips for Cedar Crest Chorus students to the PMEA District Chorus Festival and other student travel and competition events; all were approved 8–0.
In personnel and finance business, motions to accept listed resignations and ratify employment-status changes were approved, the board approved employment of Francis Fiartino as a senior project review team member at a per diem of $150, and ratified a list of day-to-day substitutes. Ms. Dieffenbach moved to approve food-service fund bills totaling $417,485.37; that motion passed by an 8–0 vote.
Board members did not expand these items into extended debate; votes were taken by show of hands or voice and recorded as unanimous where noted. The approvals keep several district projects and student activities on schedule.
