Later, a resident identified as Nelson asked whether the earlier-referenced $1.4 million allocation from the airport to the aquatic center represented additional funding or reimbursement for past expenditures; staff responded that council typically does not take questions during public comment and offered that Finance Director Leanne could meet afterward to discuss the question.
Council members closed the meeting with community updates: announcements included an ice-trail opening Nov. 29, reminders about council office hours at the library, recent ribbon cuttings for local businesses and new playground openings at Taube and Ascension Parks, and Thanksgiving greetings.
