At its Nov. 20 meeting, the Marion City Council advanced two zoning ordinance amendments on second consideration. A motion to approve Ordinance 25-31, which amends Chapter 340-11.1 of the Marion Code of Ordinances related to the zoning board of adjustment, was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The council also considered Ordinance 25-32, which amends Chapter 340 to update definitions, district use tables and specific use standards related to auxiliary dwelling units (ADUs). That ordinance likewise passed second consideration by voice vote.
Both items were considered on second reading; the council did not record further debate in the transcript. Any additional procedural steps or dates for final adoption were not specified in the meeting record.
