Riverfront Improvement Commission eyes reuse of Archie's hot dog stand, Bridal Island input and tree plan

Chris said RIC also wants to be involved in any Bridal Island master planning that moves forward and suggested a collaborative LeClaire Park tree plan developed with the city arborist and parks advisory board to select trees that won't block concerts but will provide shade.
Board members asked for details about the hot dog stand concept and whether a specific operator or vision had been chosen; Chris said no specific operator has been identified and that the commission is focused on assessing site conditions and potential minimal-utility uses as a first step. No formal RIC decisions or contracts were approved during the meeting; these ideas remain in the planning and assessment phase.
