Commission approves event incentives, property dispositions and several construction contracts

The Davis County Commission on Dec. 9 approved several economic-development incentives, property transactions and construction agreements intended to support local events, infrastructure and county facilities.
Community and Economic Development Director Kent Anderson outlined multiple items that were approved either as part of consent or through voice votes. The county will partner with a Salt Lake professional women’s volleyball group for a preseason event (a $1,000 receivable), approve a $14,000 incentive agreement with USA Wrestling to host multiple events in 2025–26, and provide a $12,000 incentive for the Davis Conference Center to host a 2026 Rocky Mountain Association convention that requires a minimum of 250 hotel rooms.
