Davis County commissioners on Nov. 25 approved a one‑year amendment to the county’s Esri geographic‑information‑system licensing agreement after staff said they obtained concessions from an earlier, higher proposal.
Information‑systems director Jeff Hassett told the commission Esri had proposed roughly $240,000 for licensing, but county staff negotiated the contract down to $165,000. The amendment covers current licensing for roughly a 13‑month period beginning Jan. 17, 2026, and runs through January 2027, giving the county time to evaluate alternatives and budget for longer‑term needs as software costs increase.
Commissioners thanked Hassett for pursuing value and approved the one‑year amendment by voice vote.
