The Pawtucket Board of License Commissioners voted on Nov. 19 to amend a stipulation setting closing hours for a local establishment, allowing Bahuka Lounge to close at midnight Sunday through Thursday and at 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The change was presented in a communication from the lounge and was approved after a motion and second from the board.
The board also approved its consent agenda of license renewals. Items read into the record included the first-class renewal for Dunkin' Donuts at 1404 Newport Avenue and a tattoo/cosmetic permanent-makeup license listed as Scalp Revival micropigmentation at 250 Main Street, Unit 7. The clerk moved the consent agenda; the commission voted to approve the listed renewals.
Chair remarks at the start of the session noted an audio-only meeting due to a video outage. After completing the license business, the board adjourned and reconvened the Pawtucket City Council meeting.
The meeting record lists the petitioner for the closing-hour request as Farris Tabachi (Bahuka Lounge). The record does not specify an exact named mover and seconder for the amendment beyond the board’s motion and second, and no roll-call breakdown for that license-board vote appears in the record.
