Treasurer reports stronger sales-tax receipts, nursing home finances roughly break even

Becky McNeil, McLean County Treasurer, told the Finance Committee on Dec. 3 that the county’s November Retailer Occupation Tax receipts were higher than a year earlier and that year-to-date voucher receipts totaled $15,380,734, about $305,000 ahead of last year. She reported a budget target of $16.9 million for the Retailer Occupation Tax with roughly $1.6 million left to collect (about 90.5% of the budgeted total).
