Carolyn Cherino was nominated and, with no other nominees, "elected by acclamation," the board recorded. In her remarks Cherino said, "It has truly been an honor to have served on the board... In this new role, I promise to take the responsibility seriously, to work hard, and to remain transparent with the board, administration, teachers, and staff, and most importantly, our community."
