He told commissioners that a lawsuit has been filed challenging the flood control district's negative declaration and notice of determination for that project, and identified the plaintiffs as Lee Howard and James Ronco; LAFCO staff said it will track the litigation as part of processing the application.

Staff said the request‑for‑information to fire and EMS providers will go out in the next week with an extended response period through mid‑January, and that city reviews have delayed the Point Arena MSR/sphere update.
