McMinnville staff announced that the city was awarded a Levitt Foundation grant to host a recurring Levitt AMP concert series on the downtown lot. The award follows a community voting process and letters of support, and staff said the grant will fund a multi-year series with seven concerts per year beginning in 2026, intended to broaden the city’s music offerings.
"After the voting process and putting in letters of support, we were awarded that this morning," a staff presenter said, adding that the series will run in the falls and aim to bring diverse musical acts to the square. Staff and Main Street McMinnville representatives were credited for the application and outreach.
Separately, the Board approved a permit request from McMinnville Special Games to host its race on April 25 after confirming law enforcement had cleared the route on city and county sides. The motion to approve was made by Miss Carrie Morton and seconded by Steve Harvey; the Board voted in favor by voice vote.
Staff also reported routine departmental updates including a recent adoption event, upcoming holiday activities and the Park Theater event schedule.
