Commissioners instructed the state’s attorney to draft a resolution to cover whatever is necessary to allow the project to proceed, agreed to meet with Fair Board representatives and the Guard on Teams to review details, and set a goal to act on the resolution at the next commission meeting. The county staff will also check with the state highway department regarding any right-of-way permits for approaches along the highway.
Commissioners said they support partnering with the Guard and expressed gratitude for the support the Guard offered to the community; they asked staff to coordinate on specific language and follow up with required agencies.
