Heidi Wilson, who identified herself as "a second grade teacher" and leader of the club, introduced students and said the co‑curricular gives many children a chance to shine. Student presenters showed projects including a robot that can draw a semicircle, a pinball machine with lights and sound, and a monorail prototype intended to move passengers. Student Peter described the coding: "I brought a robot that can draw a perfect semicircle," he told the board, and explained how the drag‑and‑drop programming interface sets motion parameters such as seconds, degrees and rotation.
Board members and attendees asked how students program the kits and whether they worked solo or in teams; students described both approaches and highlighted favorite challenges. Administrators noted strong family participation at recent STEAM and theater events and thanked teachers and volunteers for organizing the activities.
