Police report: coordinated seizure of fentanyl bricks and steady call volume in October

In remarks to council, the police chief said the department handled 314 calls for service in October, issued 57 traffic citations, 34 non-traffic citations and made 10 DUI arrests. The drug-investigator update listed three active investigations, two new investigations, three undercover buys, one felony arrest and a search warrant executed with approximately 120 grams of heroin/fentanyl and about 6 grams of methamphetamine seized.
The chief also described a larger coordinated seizure with the Pennsylvania State Police: "That was a coordinated effort with the Pennsylvania State Police where they seized 69 bricks of fentanyl, which was in route to Lewiston. There's 3,450 bags of fentanyl there." The department praised investigators for the coordinated effort.
Council members asked no further questions during the recorded segment.
