DuPage County committee approves multiple transportation contracts and budget transfers

The DuPage County Transportation Committee on Dec. 2 combined agenda items 8A through 8G and approved a slate of procurement contracts and renewals for the Division of Transportation.

The combined package included a Curacao Technology Corporation designer license renewal for five subscriptions (12/1/2025–11/30/2026) not to exceed $17,375.05; Clean Harbors Environmental Services for hazardous material testing and disposal (contracted at $30,000) with an additional $10,000 for stormwater management; Imperial Lube and Supply to furnish auto lubricants (contract not to exceed $50,000); Hill Mechanical Corporation for two gas unit heaters ($55,089); Lakeside International LLC for Navistar OEM replacement parts (not to exceed $75,000); Monroe Truck Equipment Inc. to furnish three asphalt patch carts ($97,785); and a procurement for four John Deere zero‑turn mowers (not to exceed $102,271.40).

Chair moved to combine the items and asked for a roll call; the clerk recorded votes including members Hovbert, Evans and Garcia as 'Aye' and the chair declared the items approved.

Separately, the committee approved two budget transfers: a transfer of $2,500 to cover additional seasonal workers and a transfer of $75,000 from contingency to regular salaries to cover union contract salary adjustments for the remainder of the year. Both budget motions were moved, seconded and approved without further discussion.

The contracts are scheduled for the periods stated in the agenda and were approved as the lowest responsible bids or pursuant to intergovernmental cooperation where noted.
