The Davenport City Council on Nov. 25 gave second consideration to ORD25-02, an amendment to Title 17 of the municipal code to classify solar farms as a principal use and freestanding solar panels as an accessory use.
There was no public comment on the item. Alderman McGinnis thanked planning staff—Laura, Berkeley and Matt—for supplying detailed information during the ordinance review process. The council then moved the ordinance to third consideration by roll-call vote; the clerk announced eight 'yes' votes.
No third-reading action was taken at this meeting; the ordinance will return for a subsequent reading according to council procedure.
