Superintendent Pervis told the Livingston Parish School Board that the district’s school performance scores (SPS) were released and show improvement across the system.
Pervis said the district’s SPS rose from 90.9 to 92.7, a 1.8‑point increase, and that over two years the district has grown 3.2 points. He said the district is ranked ninth in the state (up from a tie for tenth) and highlighted that 23 schools increased their SPS; four schools moved from a C to a B rating and six schools improved by more than four points. "We are ranked ninth in the state," Pervis said, and described the increases as the result of administrators, teachers, students and community support.
Pervis also presented an unofficial simulated accountability score provided by the Louisiana Department of Education under a revised formula intended for planning; the simulated score showed Livingston Parish at 52.3, placing it among the top seven districts on that simulation and listing the district fourth in an LDOE distribution of simulated results. He reiterated that those simulated scores are unofficial and meant for planning.
On early childhood, Pervis said the district’s reported metric grew from 5.7 to 5.75 and that the district is rated "high proficient" with five sites moving to "excellent" (increasing excellent sites from nine to 14). He praised school nutrition staff and said district food service teams served over 25,000 full Thanksgiving meals across campuses.
Pervis closed with operational notes about holiday office hours and a shout‑out to athletic events, announcing Denham Springs High School’s second‑round playoff kickoff at 7 p.m. the following evening.
