The Greene County Board of Commissioners approved a county services contribution agreement with developer Synergy CRC and a Cooperative Economic Development Agreement (CETA) among Greene County, the city of Fairborn and Bath Township related to the Convergent Center project on federal property under an enhanced‑use lease.
Staff said the property remains federal and is not subject to property tax, so the developer agreed to make payments to township and county entities for services such as fire protection and additional sheriff costs. The agreements memorialize responsibilities among Bath Township, Fairborn and Greene County and require the county administrator’s signature to execute them.
Commissioners praised the intergovernmental cooperation required to complete the agreements. A motion to approve the county contribution agreement with Synergy CRC and the CETA, and to authorize execution by the county administrator, was moved, seconded, and approved by voice vote.
Staff asked the county administrator to execute the documents so the statutory and contractual processes can move forward; the clerk will begin the actions required by law where needed.
