Member Stevens moved approval of the bid; board discussion focused on whether alternative work (additional roof work or other projects) should be included now or deferred because of budget constraints. A district presenter said additional alternatives could be priced but doing the full additional work now could mean forgoing other bond projects; the recommendation brought before the board fit within the current project budget. The board approved the award by voice vote.
