Marysville council meeting: roads complaints, event permits, resolutions and a $830,789 appropriation approved

At its November meeting, the Marysville City Council addressed resident concerns about local road conditions, approved event and permitting requests, and passed several routine motions and financial items.

During public comment a Ward 4 resident, Mike, described safety problems on 12th Road after recent pavement work and asked the city to address potholes, washboards, a short cross‑tube that creates erosion at the edge of the roadway, and dust control. The council approved an extension of temporary parking closures at the old courthouse for roofing contractor work and granted a permit for the 'Christmas on Broadway' event with a mayor's tree lighting and associated street closures. The council also approved two resolutions: 2025‑18 (gap waiver) and 2025‑19 to make a street one‑way; staff noted notifications to affected addresses and timing of sign/location work would follow publication.

On finance items the council approved Appropriation Ordinance 38‑60 totaling $830,789.40; a roll‑call portion of the record lists several councilmembers voting 'yes.'
