Jennifer Randall, Youth Services lead at the Onslow County Public Library, walked through seasonal programming across library branches and ways to access materials digitally.
Randall listed several family events: a Bluey pajama party at the Richlands branch (Dec. 6 at 10 a.m.), an elves workshop at the Swansboro branch (Dec. 6 at 10 a.m.) and a Harry Potter'themed pajamarama at the main branch (Dec. 12, 6'8 p.m.). She said those programs are free and encouraged families to visit multiple branches for different experiences.
The library will pause story times and structured programming from Dec. 20 through Jan. 5 to allow staff time with families; branches will remain open for regular use. Randall recommended digital resources—Hoopla and Libby—for ebooks, audiobooks and streaming access while patrons are traveling.
For schedules and registration Randall provided the library phone ((910) 455-7350) and the library's web address (onslowcountync.gov/library) for the most current program listings.
Why it matters: The library's free holiday programming provides low-cost family activities and digital access to maintain learning over school breaks.
Randall closed by encouraging reading together during the break and wishing viewers happy holidays.
