Loudon — The Board of Selectmen voted Tuesday to waive a $30 application fee for a firefighters association raffle and accepted the consent agenda while pulling one legal directive for further review.
Selectman Miller moved to waive the fee and Selectman Griffin seconded. “I’ll make a motion that we waive the fee of $30 for the firefighters association's raffle,” said a member during the vote, and the board approved the motion by voice vote with all present voting aye.
The board then took up the consent agenda. Selectman Miller moved to accept and approve the consent agenda items with one change: a legal directive was removed for further consideration before any directive is signed. The motion was seconded by Selectman Griffin and passed by voice vote.
After the votes the chair handled routine signatures and closed the Board of Permits session before returning to the main meeting.
The waiver covers the small application fee only; no other financial commitments or town appropriations were authorized at the meeting on the raffle.
