Speaker 1, the presiding officer, moved to change the January meeting date, saying the meeting as scheduled for Jan. 1 would conflict with the holiday. Speaker 2 confirmed the council’s preference for Thursday meetings and the 6:30 p.m. start time. After a second, Speaker 1 called the vote; the transcript records participants saying “Aye” and Speaker 1 announcing, “Motion passes.”

Council members did not record individual roll-call votes in the transcript. The motion was framed as an administrative scheduling change; no additional policy or budget decisions were tied to the vote.

The rescheduled date will be Jan. 8 with the council’s usual meeting time. Staff said they will confirm room and conference availability and circulate the revised agenda to members.
