In new business, council approved a contract with Allison Contracting Company LLC for the Jackson YMCA Early Learning Center renovation, described in the transcript as a pass-through CDBG grant contract for approximately $753,000; staff said there is no local match. What happens next: Several of these items are pass-through state or federal grants; staff said the city's role is to receive and forward funds or to administer contracts. Council also approved committee and board appointments and reappointed Ramona Lyons to the Housing Commission.
