The Village of Addison voted Dec. 1 to approve a planned-development ordinance for 2349 West Lake Street, allowing Logistics Property Company (LPC) to purchase and modify the site under previously granted variations and exceptions.
Vince, representing LPC, said the company proposes a roughly 140,000-square-foot Class A industrial facility and described minor site changes — an increase of about 8,000 square feet in building footprint, adjustments to parking and drive aisles, and added perimeter screening and an eight-foot fence. LPC emphasized it is not requesting new variances or exceptions beyond those already approved; staff and the planning commission had reviewed the changes and recommended approval.
Vince said LPC will maintain a 50-foot-wide, 12-foot-high landscaped berm on the west property line with no tree removal, add screening, and keep docks oriented toward existing industrial buildings. He characterized LPC as a long-term holder of facilities and said the project design emphasizes durable materials and sustainable features.
After a short presentation and committee consideration, the board approved the special-use/planned-development ordinance as presented. The motion passed without substantive amendment.
Next steps: staff will finalize any development agreements and continue required administrative filings.
