The Planning and Zoning Board voted Nov. 18 to recommend approval of proposed amendments to Chapter 26 of the Calcasieu Parish Code of Ordinances. The board’s Division of Planning and Development introduced the proposed changes and opened the floor for public comment; the record shows no comments were received.
A motion to recommend approval was made and seconded; the board approved the recommendation by voice vote. The item will proceed to the police jury (the parish governing body) for final action. The chair also noted that on Oct. 23 the police jury approved a prior Planning and Zoning recommendation for Sprint Rail Partners LLC.
The board concluded its meeting by announcing the next regular meeting on Dec. 16, 2025, and adjourning.
