The Middleton City Council on Nov. 19 approved several routine items and took a series of voice votes on administrative matters.
Consent agenda: Council approved minutes from Nov. 5, a Nov. 12 special meeting, payroll ratification through Nov. 14, accounts payable through Nov. 7, and confirmed the final consideration order (FCO) for a rezone involving 702 Boise Street (the Higginson property).
2026 meeting schedule: Council approved regular public meeting dates for 2026 (first and third Wednesdays, with the first meeting in January moved to Tuesday, Jan. 6).
Parade permit: Council approved a special-event permit and fee waiver for the Middleton Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas Parade as requested by staff.
Other business: Council also approved moving forward on a publicly advertised culvert relining bid and other consent items listed on the agenda. Most motions were moved, seconded and approved on unanimous voice votes; the transcript records that motions carried but does not include roll-call tallies.
Procedural note: Items approved on the consent agenda were discussed briefly prior to the voice vote; council moved and seconded each item and voted to approve.
