The Mount Diablo Unified School District Board of Education voted Dec. 10 to approve a stipulated expulsion agreement for student 08-26.

Trustee Mason moved to approve the agreement; Trustee Lawrence seconded. The terms require the student to complete coursework at Golden Gate day school, complete 15 hours of counseling, achieve satisfactory academic performance (minimum 40 credits), maintain 80% attendance and no excessive tardies, and avoid district school grounds and school-sponsored activities until conditions for readmission are met. The motion passed on a 5-0 roll-call vote.

Board members recorded the vote by roll call and invited no further public comment on the item.

The action followed the board's earlier closed-session report that included personnel and litigation items; the board separately reported other closed-session outcomes, including rejection of a liability claim and direction to counsel on anticipated litigation.
