The Village of Hoffman Estates board on Dec. 1 approved a sweeping consent agenda that included approval of the schedule of bills totaling $3,830,273.09, multiple ordinances tied to 2025 tax-levy abatement and general obligation bond series, and several procurement and contract resolutions.
The board also approved execution of a Lot 8 redevelopment agreement and issuance of a TIF note for Lot 8 in the Higgins Hassle TIF redevelopment project area, and separately authorized issuance of a TIF note for the remainder of the project area. Both measures passed on roll-call votes.
Earlier in the meeting the board voted to amend municipal code language governing the number of alcoholic liquor licenses in the village, an ordinance that followed a Liquor Commission recommendation.
The consent items included a set of bond- and levy-related ordinances, acceptance of public improvements at 1721 Moon Lake Boulevard (Seasons Apartments), a resolution to purchase road salt for $228,378, a vehicle upfitting contract for $332,459.02, and engineering/design work for a lift station assessment not to exceed $155,487.94. Change orders for a lift station improvement project and several storm sewer and rehabilitation contracts were also approved as part of the consent package.
Actions recorded in meeting minutes indicate unanimous or majority roll-call approval where noted. The village clerk read each roll call before each motion was certified.
The board adjourned after completing the consent agenda and the remaining scheduled items.
