Shiloh Hager, Riley County treasurer, told commissioners on Dec. 1 that 2025 tax statements were mailed and that taxpayers who have not received a statement should call the treasurer's office at (785) 537‑6321. Hager said first‑half taxes are due Dec. 22 and that payments must be postmarked by that date to avoid penalties. "We have many ways that you can pay," she told the commission, listing mail (110 Courthouse Plaza), the courthouse Dropbox, online payment (credit/debit card fees apply: 2.5% with $2.95 minimum), PayPal and phone payments; she also provided a phone number for phone payments and listed office hours for in‑person payments.
Hager said the treasurer's office will offer an escrow program for taxpayers with outstanding balances over $10,000 to help spread payments through the year, and she encouraged taxpayers to make an appointment through the county webpage if needed.
Contact and resources: Treasurer's office phone numbers and office hours were included in the meeting packet and announced on the record.
