Rockingham County approves $1.41 million in accounts-payable warrants

Rockingham County commissioners voted unanimously on Nov. 13, 2025, to approve an accounts-payable warrant totaling $1,405,263.50. The motion to adopt the warrant was made during the meeting and carried without opposition.
A staff speaker summarized the largest components of the warrant, saying, “about a third of it is contingent grants as far as the, the 450,000 of the $750,000, COPS grant.” The same speaker said more than $200,000 is for contract agency nursing and roughly $200,000 is a PrimeCare warrant for contracted jail medical services.
Commissioner Coyle, Commissioner Tamberillo and other voting members recorded aye votes during roll call, and the presiding participant announced the AP warrants had passed.
The approval authorizes payment of existing obligations; no ordinance, new program or policy change was proposed in the discussion. County staff did not provide a line-by-line warrant report during the meeting; commissioners requested a copy of the draft RFP and related documentation referenced by staff.
